This is needed to update the server software and kernel to the most current versions. To apply the new kernel version to the server, a node wide reboot must take place. We do periodic updates, on system side software, to ensure stability and security for the server as part of our management. Downtime should be no more than 60 minutes pending a clean disk check on boot. We will be using all best practice measures to ensure minimal downtime as a result of the reboot.
